Our Breeding Program

We raise our reindeer as pets; they are not for consumption. We are members of the Reindeer Owners and Breeders Association (ROBA) and appreciate working with other breeders in North America.

We are excited at the prospect of reindeer calves this Spring! We currently have a wait list for calves in 2021. If you are interested in learning more about reindeer or being added to the wait list, please contact Chris directly at
It's important to note that reindeer are highly sought after, so we work on a "first come - first serve" basis and that includes our wait list process. Chris will share his knowledge, point you to other resources and help you decide if reindeer are the right fit for you as well. Here are a couple of important facts to consider before purchasing reindeer:

  • Reindeer are a long-term commitment.

  • Reindeer are regulated – state and federal laws exist to protect them as pets

  • Reindeer need acreage, tall fences and proper shelter

Do your research because some states do not allow you to have reindeer. Here is where you can start:

  • Check with your state Department of Agriculture as well as the Department of Fish and Wildlife.

  • What are your state laws regarding Cervids (that’s fancy for mammal of the deer family)?

  • Does your state have a Chronic Wasting Disease program?
